Heraklion Archaeological Museum will open the first two halls


The Education, Religions, Culture and Sports Ministry and the Heraklion Museum management have announced on Monday, the opening of the first two halls of the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, on the island of Crete.

The new permanent exhibition of the sculptures' collection will be on display in the central building of the museum scheduled to open for the public on Tuesday. Admission will be free.
In addition, the Temporary Exhibition featuring the most important findings will continue its operation at the extension building.

Opening hours for both exhibitions will be Tuesday to Saturday from 08:00 to 20:00, while on Mondays, Sundays and on public holidays will open from 09:00 to 16:00.

As of August 16, on Thursdays and Fridays, museum archaeologists will offer visitors a free guided tour of the new exhibition.
