"And after all, you see, we do go
forward" is written on the back of the bus that passes you by a Monday
morning and makes your day. "I’m in no mood for work today," you read
on a poster in Athens Metro and you feel that you couldn’t agree more.
On the carriage of the tram, something reminds you that “so far as you have come is no small feat”! What happened and the streets of the city have flood in with the lyrics of Constantine Cavafy?

The Alexander S. Onassis Public
Benefit Foundation, which has recently purchased the Cavafy Archive, celebrates
the Year of Cavafy 2013 with this inspiring campaign, urging Athenians to meet
Cavafy and talk with him because his poetry belongs to the people.
The campaign was designed by the multi-awarded Beetroot Design Group from Thessaloniki, which contributed its own popular perspective to the project. So, for those who feel like "foreigners" or for those who have decided to move forward, the Alexandrian poet is available for chatting!
